Rapper Lil’ Wayne has been serving time in New York’s Rikers Island prison since March. He was convicted and sentenced due to gun charges. Since Lil’ Wayne has been in jail, he has openly discussed via letters that he has been writing several great songs.
A compilation of new material will be featured on a new album that the rapper will release from jail on September 27, his 28th birthday. The EP will be called I am Not a Human Being.
According to ABC, the rapper’s co-manager, Cortez Bryant, told Vibe Magazine that the project will be fully digital and will include new music as well as a preview of Wayne’s upcoming album, The Carter IV.
Bryant said, "We not about to roll out no three month set-up. I'm not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give 'em a hard copy later for fan appreciation."
