Though originally planned for release on March 11, a music video for Lil Wayne's "Drop the World" has made its debut. Opened with a shot of glasses shattering into little pieces when hitting the ground, Weezy is captured on camera spitting their verses on the street while a riot is growing around them. Collaborator Eminem joins him starting in the second half of the video.

Previously, director Chris Robinson talked to MTV about the pairing of the two rap stars in the video. "As a director, it's how do you, more than anything, combine these two artists together and create something that's special.

"He explained. "Because when you have two artists together, it's like, 'Oh, they'll stand next to each other [and that's it].' ""It's very awkward sometimes to have two very big stars. How are you gonna cover that? Especially two artists that are so big," the video helmer continued. "... And for me, I almost take it like a feature film: How did Scorsese put Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio in the same movie?" He added that "the whole video is just energy."

"Drop the World" is the third single off Lil Wayne's seventh studio album "Rebirth". Its music video was filmed on the eve of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards and was a one-day shoot. One of the many videos prepared for the time Weezy has to serve behind bars for his criminal gun possession, it features a cameo from Birdman.
