Tense moments and uncertainty end with one of the biggest shows ever at the Laredo Entertainment Center. A nearly sold-out crowd of 7,800 turned out to watch Lil’ Wayne perform at the LEC. Audience members were on their feet as Lil’ Wayne performed several hit songs along with many special guest artists for what he called a “holiday special.”
The rapper's concert was postponed by one day, after Wayne and 11 other members of his entourage were detained at the Falfurrias Border Patrol station when a drug-sniffing dog alerted agents to the presence of marijuana. Promoters say Lil' Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, arrived in Laredo early Saturday after being released by BP.
