Rap star Lil Wayne made his second trip to the metro in less than a year on Monday at Starlight. Security was the main change for Lil Wayne fans because no ticket meant no entry.
Every entrance was bumper to bumper, but moving slowly, because everyone coming in had to have a ticket, or be dropping someone off. The idea was to keep a large crowd from gathering just outside the venue and potentially causing problems.
Police were stationed throughout the park, mostly to observe and be ready, just in case.
"I don't think security was too much of a problem, it helped keep the concert safe and fun," fan Blake Edwards said.
Once everyone got parked, the last hurdle was getting to the turnstile. All in all, concert goers say it was about a five to 10 minute delay from previous concerts and there were no complaints.
