From what we can tell, Lil Wayne was never much of an athlete. No shots, but the guy's been rapping since, well, seemingly since he popped out of the womb. He started hanging around Cash Money Records before he hit puberty. And he released his debut solo project, Lights Out, when he was just 17. That didn't exactly leave much time for intramural basketball practice or running drills with the JV football team.

Wayne does know plenty about sports, though. As an avid sports fan—just listen to the song, "Sportscenter," from his Dedication 2 mixtape to see why we use the word "avid"—he's made it no secret that he loves watching sports, talking about sports, analyzing sports, arguing about sports, rapping about sports, and doing just about anything that involves sports. Football? Baseball? Tennis? Soccer? Golf? Curling? Makes no difference to Wayne. If the topic is sports, he's interested.
He's so interested, in fact, that he's started his own Web-based program called Weezy's Sports Corner. Set to be released to the 'net every Saturday, it'll feature Wayne talking about the latest sports-related stories and talking with athletes about their experiences in their particular sports. Now, we think this is a smart move for Wayne. Do a good job and he might just land his own time slot on ESPN. But for those of you who aren't quite sold on Weezy F. Baby as a sports analyst, we want to get you on board, too. So we put together a list of Lil Wayne's 10 best sports moments. Check them out. Weezy might not be the world's best athlete...but it's clear the guy's got some game.
