Lil Wayne Adds 'Dope' Rap to Joe Jonas Remix

Lil Wayne's "Young Moola, baby" shriek seems nearly ubiquitous on pop and rap radio, but here's a reminder that there's still land left to conquer: He's finally teamed up with a Jonas Brother. Namely, Weezy's hopped on the remix "Just in Love," the second single from Joe Jonas' forthcoming solo album "Fastlife," which was produced and co-written by Rob Knox and James Fauntleroy, who have also handled tracks for Ciara and Justin Timberlake.

"He just jumped on the record, and it's just super awesome to see that somebody like him would wanna support me," Jonas told Billboard.com. "It means the world to me, and I love his rap, it's so dope."

The single was already cut before Weezy lent his verse, so the duo never shared any time in-studio -- no weird recording session stories, unfortunately. But Jonas is clearly excited about the cameo.

"Somebody like Lil Wayne, who owns the market and who is a powermaker in his genre, supporting me is really exciting," he said.

"Just in Love" features Jonas singing longingly about a disagreeable lover over a midtempo, electro-influenced beat. Weezy's verse, after a shout out to Jonas, compliments his clean tenor with a typically scraggly voiced verse that includes the quip, "We makin' love like animals/ Planet of the Apes."

The track also features a guitar solo by Nuno Bettencourt, formerly of rock-ballad heavyweights Extreme.

While the pairing of young Jonas and Young Money might seem unexpected, it follows the direction of "Fastlife," which leans heavily towards R&B and dance music, and was largely produced by Timbaland protege Danja. The album's not out until Oct. 11, but eager fans won't have to wait that long for the "Just In Love" remix: it will debut Oct. 3 on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, according to Disney Music Executive Vice President Ken Bunt, and will be available on iTunes October 4.
