Lil Wayne is reportedly set to hit the stage at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The event will take place on August 28 and, according to Weezy's manager, Cortez Bryant, fans will be able to get Wayne's highly anticipated new album Tha Carter IV through iTunes the following day. The news came after some speculation that Wayne may be once again moving the album's release date:
"August 29, it's not changing. He put the mixtape and the album in my hand the same day. He turned it in [to me] yesterday," Bryant tells Billboard. "It's done for the most part, [around] thirty songs [that] I need to carve down to twelve to sixteen, with four or so bonus tracks."The album was initially scheduled to be released on May 16 and, to apologize to his fans, Wayne released a free mix tape called Sorry 4 the Wait earlier this summer.
